A client of Stonor, Shareforce, were growing rapidly. They're a web-based platform bringing automation to managing your equity or cash based employee incentive plans. The owner had just moved from South Africa to London to start an office and grow the team in the UK.
They were looking for a VP Sales as a first hire in the UK, alongside the CEO. The role was to focus on the UK, EMEA and US.
After meeting with the CEO, we had a brief to start reaching out to our network.
They needed an industry expert with experience as an individual contributor and managing a team in Sales and Partnerships. It is a very technical sell, so ideally someone with the technical expertise as well.
After extensive mapping of competitors and reaching out to contacts in the share plan/cash incentive space, we put together a shortlist of 5 high quality candidates that we interviewed for initial calls with the CEO.
The final interviews were held in person within 2 weeks of the initial interview with the CEO. The hire was made and started after a weeks' notice. This has since helped the company grow the customer base globally, with use of his contacts and network, as well as implementing a new strategy.
