Ben Race
Head of LegalBen's boundless enthusiasm and love of the job is an inspiration to everyone. A qualified Barrister, he specialised in legal search with Hudson Global in London before setting up Stonor Legal in 2013. He takes an active role in the local community and sits as a Governor of a local school. When not placing Solicitors, Partners, and Teams, Ben Race enjoys spending time with his wife and young children, playing golf or watching jumps racing.
Ben Race is our Head of Legal specialising in recruiting legal professionals to international law firms and in-house teams, with a particular focus on Oxfordshire and Thames Valley. Having formerly worked at the city regulator, he also specialises in banking and financial regulatory appointments for a blue-chip client base in London.
Ben has recently become an accredited practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Ben frequently implements NLP principles to better support lawyers during the interview process who may be:
(i) Affected by low confidence arising from unemployment, redundancy, ill health or interview feedback.
(ii) Hesitant or fearful to step out of their “comfort zone” and join a new law firm.
(iii) Undergoing a partnership panel (or other senior) selection process and seeking expert guidance on achieving optimum interview performance.
