A RegTech SaaS platform helping companies optimize their withholding tax recovery process were looking to hire their first CRO to bridge the gap between their revenue functions.
The firm is turning over £70M and has nearly 450 employees globally. They were lacking structure and direction without a CRO heading up the revenue functions.
They were looking for an outstanding and experienced sales leader with a proven track record for this type of growth. They needed someone with an understanding of the Fintech and RegTech spaces, as well as direct and data driven.
I mapped out the competitors in this space reached out to my network in this space first before headhunting from the competition.
An outstanding CRO in my network was very keen for an initial conversation with the client to learn more about the role. He was immediately available after moving on from his previous role and having a 5 month break.
It was a perfect fit from client and candidate perspectives, so the time to hire from initial briefing on the role to start date was one month.This has allowed the CRO to make efficiencies and restructure the revenue functions since he started in May.
The work is now paying off and the business is once again growing at a fast pace, much earlier than expected due to finding the correct candidate within just 4 weeks.
